Police were called to an address in Forfar this morning after the body of a man was discovered.
Officers attended a home in Bankhead Terrace at 5am.
There are are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “We can confirm officers attended at Bankhead Terrace, Forfar at 5am on Friday 2 September, following the sudden death of a 30-year-old man.
“There are no suspicious circumstances and as with all sudden deaths a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed they attended the scene, but paramedics were not required.
The identity of the deceased has yet to be released.
