Police investigating the discovery of human remains in a Tayside property have also cordoned off a recycling plant.
Officers have blocked off the entrance to the Montrose recycling centre on Bloomfield Road – over a mile away from the initial scene.
Police were called to the junction of Market Street and John Street in Montrose at around midnight following the discovery of human remains.
The two areas police have cordoned off.
The remains were found when officers were called to an address as part of an ongoing missing person inquiry.
A man has been detained and is helping police with their inquiries.
