Tayside has been issued with a severe weather warning with snow predicted into the weekend.
The Met Office has today issued a yellow ‘be aware’ warning for snow, which has been put in place for Friday evening and into Saturday.
The warning is in place for Dundee, the east of Fife, all of Angus and northern Perthshire.
Those on lower areas can expect 1cm to 4cm of snowfall, whilst those 150m above sea level an expect 5-10 cm of snow.
Gales of up to 60mph could also bring blizzard conditions.

The warning states that the snow will have cleared on Saturday morning but that will make way for ice, which may cause hazardous conditions.
A statement issued by the Met Office’s chief forecaster read: “Please be aware of the likelihood of some difficult driving conditions and some travel disruption.
“A major (but temporary) change of weather type will see the winds swing into a more northerly direction, pulling down much colder air across the whole of Britain and western Europe, after what has been an exceptionally mild first half of November.
“Wintry showers will spread to many northern areas in particular and night frosts will become much more widespread.
“Within this northerly flow, a small but quite active low pressure system is expected to develop and transfer south bringing more widespread wintry conditions and strong to gale force winds.
“At present details of both the snow amounts and wind strengths are uncertain, and so expect updates to the warning.”
