A man had to be helped from his vehicle after it became stuck in flood water.
Fire crews were called to Forties Road in Dundee after the delivery driver’s could not make it through.
The bottom of the road has been submerged in flood water after the Dighty burst its banks.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service: “We were called to Forties Road, past the DERL recycling plant, to assist a man out of his vehicle.
“It became stuck in 3ft of water.
“A specialist water rescue team from the Kingsway and one engine from Macalpine Road assisted the man from his vehicle.”
An ambulance was also called to the scene but it was not required.
Elsewhere flooding has also continued along the Dighty Burn. The Trottick Ponds have overflowed and water is flowing into the already swelled burn.
In Bridgefoot, a woman and two children had to be freed after their car also got stuck in water. Roads were closed off, including the roadbridge on Strathmartine Road, which was impassible. Workers were attempting to clear some of the water.
Flood warnings are still in place for Dundee and Angus with persistent still forecast until Friday.
Meanwhile, occupants of a storm-damaged block of flats had to leave their homes for their own safety.

With fears over the state of the roof of the properties at City Quay, police told the occupants of 33 flats to leave their homes shortly after 5pm yesterday. Work is being carried out to make the building safe.
