One person had to be rescued from a fire in a three-storey tenement in Forfar this morning.
Firefighters were called to a second floor flat on Goosecroft shortly after 11am.
One person in the flat above had to be rescued by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus.
Two people were treated by paramedics on the scene, but neither required hospital treatment.
Shortly after their arrival, the fire crews extinguished the blaze. The fire did not spread to neighbouring properties and the building was ventilated.
A spokeswoman for Scottish Fire and Rescue said: “We were called to Goosecroft in Forfar at 11.04am to a fire in a block of flats.
“The second floor flat was ablaze and one person from the property above had to be removed by firefighters.
“Hose-reel jets were used to extinguish the fire.”
A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said: “One ambulance attended and treated two patents.
“They were checked over but did not require further treatment.”
Three fire engines attended the blaze – two from Forfar and one from the Kingsway in Dundee.
